Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy

ASLEEN ONLINE is committed to providing a safe and secure online learning environment for all our students. This Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy outlines our commitment to the welfare and protection of children and young people who engage in our online tutoring services.

  • Child: A person under the age of 18 years.
  • Child Protection: Actions taken to protect children from harm, abuse, or neglect.
  • Safeguarding: Proactive measures taken to ensure the welfare and safety of children.
  • Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL): The person responsible for leading child protection and safeguarding within ASLEEN ONLINE.

This policy adheres to the legal framework set out in "Keeping Children Safe in Education" (KCSIE) and other relevant legislation and guidance in the UK.

We may collect academic information to tailor our tutoring services to the specific needs of our students.

  • Appointed (name of DSL) is responsible for child protection and safeguarding within the organization.
  • Ensuring that all staff members are aware of their responsibilities and receive appropriate training.
  • Maintaining records of safeguarding concerns and actions taken.
  • Be familiar with and follow this policy and the KCSIE guidance.
  • Report any concerns regarding a child's welfare promptly to the DSL.
  • Create and maintain a safe online learning environment for students.
  • Attend child protection and safeguarding training as required.

ASLEEN ONLINE is committed to recruiting staff and tutors who are suitable to work with children. We will:

  • Conduct background checks, including DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks, for all staff members and tutors.
  • Verify the qualifications and credentials of all tutors.
  • Follow a rigorous recruitment process to ensure that candidates are suitable to work with children.

We do not share personal data with any third parties.

  • Ensure all staff and tutors maintain appropriate professional boundaries with students.
  • Promote respectful and appropriate behavior among students.
  • Monitor and report any inappropriate online conduct.
